On February 19, Mikhail Krokin’s lecture “Three whales, as the three pillars of the contemporary art market” will take place in the “Pullman” hotel in Riga.
The lecture will be held in the format of a round table, where the mutually beneficial cooperation of the artists, galleries and collectors will be discussed. Over the course of the lecture there will be considered various options for the creation and destruction of the art market, its capitalization, as well as the possible collapse of art hopes.
Mikhail Krokin is the founder and the director of one of the oldest galleries in Moscow – “Krokin Gallery” (1990). He is a curator of numerous exhibitions and a participant in international art fairs. Co-author of the “The Notorious masterpiece” and “The Notorious masterpiece. Textura”. Publisher of many art catalogues and publications. Teacher of art management and gallery business in the RMA business school. Lives and works in Moscow.
