On September 16, at 19:00, a lecture dedicated to the life and work of the Serbian artist Marina Abramović was held at the Pullman Riga Old Town hotel
Marina Abramović is a master of endurance art. Her work allows you the exploration of the relationship between the artist and the audience, the limits of the body and the possibilities of the mind.
The career of the artist spans over five decades, for which Abramović has been nicknamed the “grandmother of performance art”. She has pioneered a new notion of identity by bringing in the participation of observers, focusing on “confronting pain, blood, and physical limits of the body”.
